Ik danda hai jamm de hathin papi jeev nun maaran lai;
Ik khoondi hai satguru hathin papi jeev udharan lai.
Ik lathi hai raahjan de hatth vich mare jo har rahi nun;
Ik lathi hai rakhi kardi mildi jadon sipahi nun.
Ik banda banda nahin banda ik banda bhagwan bane;
Kahe avtar vast hai ikko jo bujhe insaan bane.

There is one stick in the hands of the Angel of Death, which is wielded to punish the sinners;
There is another stick in the hands of the True Master, which is wielded to redeem the sinners.
There is one long stick in the hands of a robber, which is wielded to beat any wayfarer;
There is yet another long stick in the hands of a policeman, which is wielded to protect the people.
There is one man who does not behave as man, and there is yet another who exalts himself to the level of God;
Avtar says, the object (Truth) is the same, and 'man' is the one who knows it.

save the sinners. There is one long stick in the hands of a robber, which is wielded to beat any wayfarer. There is yet another long stick in the hands of a policeman, which is wielded to
protect the people. There is one man who does not behave as man, and there is yet another who raise himself to the level of God. Here Baba Avtar Singh ji says, the object (Truth) is the
